Sweet Affairs: Brownies, Cakes, and Cookies
Got sweet tooth and you’re residing in Zamboanga? Then this post is for you.
If you LOVE brownies, chocolate cakes and cookies, then I suggest you definitely try Sweet Affairs goodies. This is actually my cousin Lyssa’s small business and it’s really doing great especially this coming holiday season!
Jo, another cousin of mine, was an angel and brought me few samples, which made me hate myself for not being able to go to Zamboanga to taste these delectable treats right after they were made, but nevertheless, those sweet treats were sinful yet heavenly.
I got to taste my cousin’s “must try” Moist Chocolate Cake (photo courtesy of Jo):
Christmas Goodies from PH Bakehouse
Just got news that PH Bakehouse is offering yummy and affordable Christmas baked goodies to limited number of customers only, so you must visit their Facebook profile page, like them, and ask for their pricelist before the promo ends!
I got the pricelist just a while ago and I think I already know what to give out this coming holiday season! Although I might be choosing something that’s a bit low on the sugar (probably the Apple Cinnamon Muffins or Carrot Walnut) because I’m keeping the sugar level down. *wink*
No, I’m not going to give you the pricelist, but I’d rather have you go to PH Bakehouse’s Facebook Page found HERE and ask for their Christmas goodie pricelist. ^_^
But just to tickle your taste buds, here are some photos from the pricelist.

Note that images are not mine, and I’m not claiming them to be, I just merely got these images from the pricelist that was sent to me. You can check out more of their baked goodies at:

You’re in for a sweet treat!!! I know I would! ![]()
Sbarro – SM Megamall
Yesterday, I finally sold my airsoft gun for my daughter’s tuition. I know it was not much but I needed all the resources I could gather, and additionally, I would like to thank you (you know who you are) for helping me out close the deal with the buyers. I couldn’t have done it without you. Thanks for helping out! *hugs*
After the said deal, we went back to Ortigas to store and leave some of the unsold items and headed to SM Megamall. We decided to eat but we were again unsure of what to eat, so we did “draw lots” The pick was originally for Wendy’s but we went to Sbarro instead (you’d think that we shouldn’t have done draw lots eh? XD We thought so too…)
Anyways, as we stepped inside the said restaurant, we were courteously greeted but my eyes were already glued on to their pizzas, most especially their White pizza, again let me reiterate to you all that I’m a pizza-lover, and would kill for a slice – kidding
… but yes, I ordered one slice of it as the pull of temptation was too strong (LOL). On the other hand, he got himself a slice of Pepperoni pizza. We also got a Blueberry cheesecake and a Tiramisu. For our drinks, I got a glass of Lemonade and he got a glass of Coke soda.
Here were our orders:
White Pizza
(garlic, ricotta, mozzarella)
Serving choices: Slice Php 85.00, Whole Php 510.00 ![]()
Pepperoni Pizza
(mozzarella, Sbarro recipe pepperoni)
Serving choices: Slice Php 110.00, Whole Php 660.00 ![]()
Mama Sbarro’s Original Recipe NY-Style Cheesecake
(blueberry, mango, cherry or chocolate toppings)
Php 76.00
Tiramisu
(Everyone’s favorite Italian dessert!)
Php 63.00 ![]()
Food experience: Overall, I’d give it a 3 out of 5. I was not able to finish the White pizza since I was too full. Taste wise, it’s not really something new to me nor something really out of the ordinary. I was also able to taste the Pepperoni pizza and I’m also good with the flavor but there wasn’t really the “oomph” and the “wow”. I’m not too amazed with their cheesecake either, it was too creamy unlike other cheesecakes I’ve tried but since I love cheesecake and blueberry, I still gobbled it up.
As for the tiramisu, it could have been better if it was served chilled (unless we got the one that was not yet cold?)
Another thing I noticed was, personally, I think they have too much staff. They have separate people for the pizzas, separate people for the breads, separate people for the entrées, separate people for the salad, separate people for the drinks (which I really think shouldn’t be necessary), and separate people for the cashier. I understand that this would delegate task efficiently for each employee and to make sure that someone is manning each station, however, this might pose a problem in communication. But if it works for them, then it means that it’s effective.
How about you? What’s your experience with Sbarro?
